Loan Modifications are helping homeowners save their homes. I have been getting more & more involved with clients who need this help to be able to handle their mortgage payment. It is something a homeowner can try on their own by contacting their lender who services their mortgage. I explain to my clients how to do it themselves or some opt to have me represent them. It comes down to a matter of time & understanding of what information your lender needs & also navigating to the right source & departmnet. If you don't have the time or patience to do it on your own find a reputable source who has experience doing this to represent you. Any fee you may pay, may be money well spent if it is successful in bringing your loan current or reducing your interest rate etc.. Make sure you have a contract if you are hiring a company to represent you.
